Who We Are
At Abeona Travel Africa, we believe travel should be personal, meaningful, and seamless.
Named after the Roman goddess of outward journeys, Abeona represents guidance, care, and protection; values that sit at the heart of everything we do. We put your travelling mind to rest while delighting you with our uniquely African hospitality.
We specialise in curated travel experiences across Africa for discerning travellers seeking more than just a trip.

Our team brings over 40 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, with deep expertise across East Africa and beyond.
Curated
We specialise in journeys designed for discerning travellers looking for something more thoughtful, more refined, and more personal than a standard itinerary.
Knowledge
Our experience spans travel planning, hospitality, and destination expertise, allowing us to shape trips with both confidence and nuance.
Perspective
With a strong grounding in East Africa and a wider understanding of travel across the continent, we build experiences that feel connected, authentic, and effortless.

Leadership
Trusted by experience
Leadership
Abeona is led by Peter Mbogua, who has held the position of Chairman of the Kenya Hotel Keepers and Caterers Association and was also a Director and Chairman of the Kenya Tourist Board.
That depth of leadership brings a rare understanding of both hospitality and destination stewardship, helping shape journeys with confidence, credibility, and care.
It is this experience that allows Abeona to guide travellers across Africa with assurance while keeping every journey warm, personal, and beautifully considered.
Philosophy
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all travel. Every itinerary is designed around you. Our mission is to share Africa with you through authentic experiences.
Philosophy
We design travel around your pace, your interests, and the experiences that matter most to you, creating journeys that feel intimate, authentic, and entirely your own.
Sustainability
We support environmentally responsible tourism and conservation initiatives, because sharing Africa well also means helping to protect the landscapes, wildlife, and communities that make it extraordinary.
